Tandem riding in Kirklees

Tandem riding in Kirklees
The Kirklees Visually Impaired Network promotes equal access to services and provides educational and social opportunities for visually impaired people in Kirklees.  It’s a user-led organization that manages activities to improve the health and social lives of visually impaired people. The group runs two-hour tandem rides on alternate Saturdays and the next one will be on 15th November (weather permitting)The usual venue is Huddersfield Sports Track, Leeds Rd but lately the group has ventured out onto the Kirklees Greenway.

There are five tandems, a slowly growing interest and usually more ‘pilots’ than visually impaired  attendees. It’s a bit slow for keen cyclists but please feel free to pop along if you are interested in riding with someone. Please contact Andrew Close (Andrew.Close@dwp.gsi.gov.uk) for more details
