Give us a Clue Competition

 give us a clue

Following on from the enthusiastic response to the Olympic Quiz in 2012, the Great HASSRA Bake-Off in 2013 and the 2014 Pictionary Competition, the 2015 National DWP – HASSRA Challenge is all about waving your arms around trying to communicate with your colleagues. Yes, we are going to have a nationwide Give us a Clue competition.

The competition will run over 3 rounds: 1st round will be a local round, 2nd round will be a regional round & 3rd round will be a Live National Final.

HASSRA LEEDS have organised the local heat to be held in the Woodpecker Bar, Quarry House, on Tuesday 4th August between 5pm & 7pm. Food and beverages will be available from the bar.

What we are looking for

We are seeking teams of 3 players to take part in this local event. The winning team will be put forward to take part in the….

Regional Event: – exact details are being finalised but they are planned to take place between 24th August and 9th October. The winning regional team will then be entered into …

The Grand Final: –  which will take place in Yorkshire in November where a team from each of the HASSRA regions will take part in a Give us a Clue ‘spectacular’ to determine the National Champions. (All reasonable travelling expenses for the final will be met by National HASSRA – See HASSRA website for further specific details). Trophies will be awarded to the winning team.

Anyone can take part and you do not have to be a HASSRA member.

We will also use the evening to collect a little spare change for Sheffield Children’s Hospital, who are the sponsored charity of HASSRA Leeds Tabletop Wargame Club who are organising this event.

Detailed rules and scoring have been provided and are available to those wishing to take part.

So if you are at all interested in taking part or finding out more about this relaxed evening of fun and humour with colleagues, please contact Stuart Barraclough (0113 232 4435 – stuart.barraclough@dwp.gsi.gov.uk) who will be happy to help.
