Our lovely Janet sweet-talked a host of supplies from the renown crafting company “Craftwork Cards” that we can use to make cards to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer care at the Macmillan Coffee Morning Bake Sale on 30th September . The only thing they asked is that we send photos of cards we make and how much we make, in return they will post this on the Web as its good business for them as well
Join us any lunchtime next week at our drop in card making sessions in the North Atrium. You don’t need to be an experienced card maker or be able to make a full card if you don’t want to. We can show you how to use our die cutting machine to cut out teacup shapes or you can cut ribbon or card to shape or glue things together.
To help us organise our supplies and time, would you please let me know which day and an approximate time you’d like to pop in? If card making isn’t your thing we are still making knitted and crocheted biscuits or cakes to sell. If you can’t make it next week, we’re also looking for help selling what we make at the coffee morning event on 30th September between 10 and 12:30
Just a reminder the The knitting and stitching show returns to Harrogate at the end of November, see the website for more details (via the link). 50% of your entrance fee will be refunded after the even with proof of purchase, and if you do any workshops at the event you will be able to claim back 50% again with proof of attending up to a maximum of £20
